As of 1 August 2020, he is ranked the #10 lightweight kickboxer in the world by Combat Press.

Where does Buakaw train now?
Buakaw built his own gym banchamek in northern Thailand long time ago. The gym was built in just 10 days and was named Banchamek Gym (Buakaw’s real name is Sombat Banchamek). Buakaw built the camp not only because he wanted to continue training but so that he could help the children in his village discover Muay Thai as well.
What other kinds of sport does he like?
Buakaw loves football. In 2014, he signed for RBAC Football Club, to be a professional footballer. To be a professional footballer is also one of dreams of Buakaw.
